Setting up your web hosting

BEFORE YOU START
1. Pay for your hosting package. You can do so by logging into the control panel (http://control.moraywebhosting.co.uk) and clicking 'Billing' > 'Make Payment'. Your username and password are sent to you by email when you set up an account. You will not be able to add a domain until you have made your first payment.

2. Add a domain to your package. Click 'No transfer required' if you already own the domain.

3. Configure email and ftp accounts.

4. Change domain nameservers. Contact your domain registrar and ask for the nameservers to be changed on your domain to:
Primary Name Server: ns1.oh-dns.com
Secondary Name Server: ns2.oh-dns.com
This will take up to 48 hours (usually less).

5. Upload your files.

FTP ACCESS

Your webspace can be accessed via FTP using the address ftp.yourdomain.co.uk with the following username and password, where yourdomain.co.uk is your site's domain name.

FTP Server: ftp.yourdomain.co.uk
Username: yourdomain.co.uk
Password: [UserAccountPassword]

Once logged in you will see the following three directories:

WWWROOT - this is where you should place your website files such as HTML documents, images and scripts.

LOGS - this directory gives you direct access to your site's logfiles.

DB - this folder cannot be directly accessed across the Internet but can be accessed using scripts therefore making it an ideal place to store databases and other important information.

EMAIL

To collect mail delivered to your domain, set your mail client to connect to mail.yourdomain.co.uk with the following login information:

Mail server: mail.yourdomain.co.uk
Username: mail@yourdomain.co.uk
Password: [UserAccountPassword]

where yourdomain.co.uk is your site's domain name. You can make changes to your email settings on the control panel.

info about webmail access if appropriate

WEBMAIL

In your web browser, go to http://mail.yourdomain.co.uk/mail and enter the following details:

Username: mail@yourdomain.co.uk
Password: [UserAccountPassword]

where yourdomain.co.uk is your site's domain name.

then click on the 'Log In' button
